How It Works
What does the price include?
- A doctor's lab order for testing
- All lab / testing fees
- A copy of your results
Do I need to visit a doctor to get a lab order before getting tested?
No! As part of your test price, we provide a lab order from a licensed doctor in your state through our network. Doctors who work with us approve ordered tests, review all results, and follow up with patients when necessary.
How is Accesa Labs able to offer such great prices?
We have and continue to invest in software and technology to automate a number of processes (and associated costs) typically present in the lab testing process to reduce the overall cost to our customers.
How old do I have to be to get tested?
You must be 18 or older. We do not test customers under the age of 18. To learn more about lab testing for people under age 18, please CLICK HERE.
Standard Testing FAQ
I'm interested in standard testing. What labs do you work with?
We work with Quest Diagnostics, the world's leading provider of diagnostic testing information services. Quest Diagnostics processed over 150 million tests last year through its FDA-regulated facilities. Through Accesa Labs, you have access to thousands of Quest locations nationwide and Quest will run the actual testing.
Once I order online, when can I get my lab order?
New orders are reviewed, processed and approved in real-time, 24 hours a day. Once you place your order, you will receive instructions, typically in under 30 seconds, on how to access your lab order.
Do I need to bring a paper lab order to the Quest lab location?
No. Once you place your order, you will have the ability to fax your lab order to your selected lab location. It can be helpful to bring a paper copy as well in case the fax machine is not working at the lab location (very infrequent) on the day of testing to avoid any delays in your testing process. At most locations, the lab order will also be available in Quest's electronic order system (Care360) which is accessible to the lab staff members.

How do I find a lab location?
Will every Quest location know about Accesa Labs?
Although we have a preferred national account with Quest, not every employee at the thousands of locations that you have access to nationwide may have heard the name Accesa Labs (we wish they did). Infrequently, our customers tell us that they spoke with an employee at a lab who is new to Accesa Labs or has never heard of internet-based ordering. This should not affect your testing experience when using the instructions provided.
How long will my results take?
It depends on the test. Most standard test results take 3-4 business days while Alcat tests typically take longer. Check out the information in the relevant section to learn more. In many cases, your results will come faster than 3 business days but, when possible, we prefer to underpromise and overdeliver.
How do I get my results?
Once your results are available, you will receive an email with instructions on how to access them securely.
What will my lab results look like?
Your lab results will look like a standard medical lab report. Feel free to download the sample report next to your test of interest to see for yourself.
I'm a doctor or licensed medical provider. Can I order testing for myself or patients?
If you are a licensed medical provider, please contact us and we will tell you the best way to do it.

Other Common Questions
Can I use my health insurance to pay for testing?
We only accept a credit / debit card payment and, unfortunately, cannot bill insurance. Also, we are unable to provide ICD or CPT codes or our Tax ID number.
Can I get a receipt?
For lab tests ordered for testing through Quest, you will find a standard receipt available that you can download with your order. Please contact us if you need a receipt for the Alcat test.
Can I use an HSA or FSA?
Yes. Please make sure that your card has a Visa or Mastercard logo on it. Lab testing is generally accepted as an approved medical expense.

I'm not sure about all this.
Read authentic customer comments about our service on our Reviews page. We understand that some people are skeptical about ordering and paying for lab tests online because it is a new option in healthcare. We know that most new and innovative services take time to get widespread acceptance. This is particularly true in industries (i.e. healthcare) that are resistant to new technology. Our mission is to help accelerate change and save our customers time and money by offering our convenient service.
