At the lab, the phlebotomist will draw a small amount of blood from your veins to run your thyroid check up and the thyroid hormones in the sample will be measured using standard lab equipment. Once the thyroid blood screening analysis is complete, a lab report will be generated with your lab results and you will be notified when it is available.

How will I interpret my thyroid blood test results?

If you are getting thryoid blood testing under the direct guidance of a specific medical provider, it might be worth confirming that the thyroid lab results (using the sample report) will be acceptable for ongoing thyroid health management.
