Immunization Titers - More Information
The immunization titer package, also known as immunity titers and immunization blood titers, checks the hepatitis B, measles / mumps / rubella (MMR) and varicella IgG antibody titer blood levels.
Immunization titers are a useful way to check for vaccine-induced immunity by measuring antibody titers in the blood. This particular immunity titer panel includes the commonly ordered hepatitis B titer, MMR titer and varicella titer blood tests.
To get an immunization titer test near you, simply order online and get your blood drawn at the selected Quest Diagnostics lab. Once the immunization titer lab results are ready, they can be downloaded. As can be seen on the sample immunization test lab report above, the individual blood titer levels of the immunization titer package will be reported as numerical results (i.e. quantitative IgG titers) and can be compared against the reference ranges provided by the lab. If immunization titer levels are positive, then no further vaccination is typically needed.
People who also need tuberculosis testing with immunization titers testing also order the tuberculosis blood test. This immunization titer package is sometimes ordered along with the Tdap titer and the polio titer for additional evaluation of one's immunity status.
