Why are markers in this vitamin panel important?
Vitamin A is important for vision and skin health. Adequate Vitamin D is important for maintaining healthy bone and it may also be involved with reducing cancer risk.
Vitamin B9, also known as folic acid, is important for cell health and red blood cell production. Vitamin B12 is vital for a number of metabolic processes, including overall health and energy production. A deficiency in Vitamins B12 can cause anemia, fatigue, and poor sleep.
Vitamin B6 is important for nerve function and serotonin production (important for mood). Vitamin B12 also plays a role in proper nerve function. Vitamin E is an antioxidant in the body and plays an important role in nerve function.
