Immunoglobulin Panel - More Information
The immunoglobulin test panel, also known as an immunoglobulin lab test and immunoglobulin blood test panel, measures the IgA, IgG and IgM immunoglobulin blood levels.
High immunoglobulin levels (IgA, IgG and/or IgM) are seen in a condition called generalized hypergammaglobulinemia as well as in chronic inflammatory states. Conditions such as multiple myeloma, lymphoma and leukemias will typically show elevated immunoglobulin blood levels. In contrast, low immunoglobulin levels are found in disease that cause a weakened immune system as well as in a condition called generalized hypogammaglobulinemia.
To get an immunoglobulin test near you, just order online and get your blood drawn at the selected Quest Diagnostics lab. Once your immunoglobulin lab report is ready, it will be available for download. As can be seen on the sample immunoglobulin lab results, the immunoglobulin blood levels are reported as numbers and can be compared against the reference range provided by the lab.
