Immunoglobulin Test Panel - More Information
The immunoglobulin test panel measures the IgA, IgG and IgM immunoglobulin blood levels.
High immunoglobulin levels (IgA, IgG and/or IgM) are seen in a condition called generalized hypergammaglobulinemia as well as in chronic inflammatory states. Conditions such as multiple myeloma, lymphoma and leukemias will typically show elevated immunoglobulin blood levels. In contrast, low immunoglobulin levels are found in disease that cause a weakened immune system as well as in a condition called generalized hypogammaglobulinemia.
