SSA Blood Test - More Information
The SSA test, also known as an SSA blood test and Sjogren's SS-A lab test, measures the Sjogren's SS-A blood level.
Sjogren's SS-A antibodies are present in some people with Sjogren's syndrome. The SSA lab test is often ordered with the Sjogren's SSB blood test through the Sjogren's syndrome test panel to increase the likelihood of identifying Sjogren's syndrome when present.
To get an SS-A test near you, simply order online and get your blood drawn at the Quest Diagnostics lab near you. Once your SS-A lab report is ready, it will be available for download. As can be seen on the sample SS-A lab results, the lupus test components will be reported as numerical values and can be compared against the reference range provided by the lab.
The SSA blood test is part of the more detailed comprehensive rheumatoid arthritis panel.
